It’s a wonderful product. Look good. Feel strong. Seems durable. Ordered it for kids. Voice quality is good. Sound is clear & loud. Not sure about 8 kms but surely work for 500 meters. Each device need four AAA batteries which is not included. It has LED light at top can be used as torch light.

Not tested long distance but work great inside large house, through walls. Wish they were waterproof and would float. Antenna is cheap plastic, would be better screw on rubber antenna. For price good but hope they take recommendations into account on future productions.
